Lambright, Michael Lee
June 9, 1967 - March 18, 2025
Michael Lee Lambright, 57, of Goshen, formerly of Middlebury, while surrounded by his family went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:34 pm, on Tuesday, March 18, [2025] at the Center for Hospice Care, Esther's House, Elkhart. He was born on June 9, 1967, in Elkhart, to Alfred "Al" Lee and Rebekah "Elaine" (Holderread) Lambright.
Surviving are his mother of Middlebury; brother, Mark Lambright of Middlebury; two sisters, Cheryl (John) Huss of Goshen, Kelly (Craig) Woolsey of Goshen; seven nieces and nephews, Jason, Sareen, Maranda, Kyle, Cory, Derek, and Brett; six great-nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father and a great-niece.
Michael was a 1986 Northridge High School graduate, where he was a standout football player. He was a Tool and Die Journeyman by trade, entrepreneur, and inventor. Early in his life he enjoyed racing go-carts and later enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. Michael also enjoyed sprint and NASCAR racing as well as Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboys football. The light of his life was Jesus Christ, which showed in his care and love for children and family. He would always put others before himself. Michael especially loved spending quality time with his nieces and nephews and truly enjoyed attending their sports and other events.
A visitation and Celebration of Life service will start at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 27 at the Lambright Cabin at Shore Church, 7235 W. 100 N., Shipshewana. With his love for all children, the service will be followed by playing and snack time ending at 6:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital.
Lambright, Philip H.
September 5, 1970 - April 4, 2025
Philip H. Lambright, 54, of Wolcottville, (district: 23), died unexpectedly, from a suspected heart attack, at 5:43 am on Friday [April 4, 2025] at plant 17C, Forest River in Topeka. He was born on September 5, 1970, in LaGrange County, to Harvey and Fannie (Yoder) Lambright. On July 30, 2010, in LaGrange County, he married Martha Sue (Hochstetler) Miller, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four stepsons, Marcus (Jolene) Miller of Goshen, Arlin (Mary) Miller of Goshen, Glen (Brenda) Miller of Millersburg, Darin (special friend Kaitlyn Miller) Miller at home; four stepdaughters, Sharlene (Marlin) Whetstone of Topeka, Regina (Darin) Schlabach of Millersburg, Karen (Aaron) Miller of Wolcottville, Kayla (special friend Landon Yoder) Miller at home; 18 step-grandchildren; his father of Topeka; six brothers, Dave (Nora) Lambright of Shipshewana, Amos (Rose) Lambright of Shipshewana, Calvin (Karen) Lambright of Wolcottville, Lester Lambright of Michigan, Lavern (Lorene) Lambright of LaGrange, Duane (Ruth) Lambright of Wolcottville; three sisters, LeAnna (John) Kurtz of Topeka, Mary (Lonnie) Bontrager of Centreville, MI, Katie (Nathan) Miller of Wolcottville.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be after 1:00 on Saturday, April 5, and all day Sunday, April 6, at the family's residence, 6610 S. 075 W. Wolcottville. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, April 7, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Levi Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Clearspring Cemetery, Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.
Landis, Alma M. Martin
September 21, 1935 - January 28, 2025
Alma M. Landis, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She resided at Pleasant View Communities in Manheim. She was the wife of the late Mark G. Landis who passed away December 3, 2024.
Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Rachel (Martin) Martin. Alma worked alongside Mark on their dairy and crop farm near Annville for their first 20 plus years together. She worked as a prep cook for Countryside Christian Community for 22 years before her retirement. She was a member of Gingrich’s Mennonite Church.
Alma enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed serving people through her cooking and baking. Alma also served the community by volunteering at Jubilee Ministries in Lebanon and Gift & Thrift Store in Mt Joy. She was also involved in the church’s sewing circle for many decades. Alma loved spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by three sons Timothy (Cheryl Hawks) Landis, Thomas (Greta Yoder) Landis, Jeffrey (Alicia Rodriguez) Landis; one daughter Deborah Bailey; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister Karen (Kenneth) Trovinger.
Alma was preceded in death by five brothers Elam Martin, Allen Martin, Ezra Martin, Emerson Martin, Emanuel Martin and four sisters Lavina Redcay, Ruth Giagnocavo, Erma Landis and Rachael Freed.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Gingrich’s Mennonite Church, 100 Forney Rd. Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held from 1PM until the time of her service at the Church.
Landis, Harold S.
August 16, 1931 - February 15, 2025
Harold S. Landis, 93, of Willow Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 15, 2025. He was the husband of Betty J. (Shenk) Landis, who passed away in 2014. They were married for over 60 years.
He grew up on farms in Witmer and Strasburg. Before buying a dairy farm in Willow Street, he and his wife served as house parents with Milton S. Hershey School for Children. He was a member of Willow Street Mennonite Church. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Benjamin L. and Ella Mae Snavely Landis.
He is survived by four sons, Dennis Landis (Deb), Douglas Landis, Dean Landis (Cindy) and Darryl Landis; a daughter, Doreen Landis (Chrissy); eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grand-children; brother, Paul Landis; sisters, Mary Hershey, Miriam Good and Joyce Eby. Harold was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Landis, a son, Delbert Landis and brothers, Benjamin Landis, Aaron Landis and Ira Landis; and a sister Anna Elizabeth Harnish.
He will be remembered for reciting memorized poems, his sweet smile, the twinkle in his eye, and his mischievousness. When greeted and asked how he was doing, it was always answered with Better. And instead of goodbye, it was See you in the morning!
There will be a Celebration of Harolds Life at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA with Pastor Eric Herr officiating. The family will greet family and friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, prior to the service.

Landis, Kay E. Gockley
August 31, 1937 - March 27, 2025
Kay E. Landis 87 of Hamburg, PA, passed away in the Richland Christian Home on Thursday, March 27, 2025. She was born in Ephrata on August 31, 1937, a daughter of the late Harry C. and Esther B. (Witmer) Gockley. Kay was the wife of James R. Landis for 64 years. She was a member of Myerstown Mennonite Church and enjoyed being a part of the Sewing Circle.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children: Tony A. (husband to Linda) Landis, Richland; Judy C. Landis of Hamburg; Todd E. (husband to Donna) Landis, Hamburg; Troy S. Landis of Cameron Mills NY; eleven grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren.
She was a sister to Charles Gockley (husband to Verna) both deceased, Glenn Gockley, deceased (husband to Margaret), Jean Frysinger (wife to Paul) both deceased, Sidney Gockley (husband to Donna), H. Lynn Gockley deceased (husband to Linda).
There will be an evening viewing on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Myerstown Mennonite Church, 624 N. College St, Myerstown, PA, 17067 and on Saturday, April 5 at 9:00 AM. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM and the interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kay’s memory to Christian Aid Ministries. The Clauser Funeral Home Inc, Schaefferstown is handling the arrangements.
Leaman, Raymond B.
June 23, 1933 - January 17, 2025
Raymond B. Leaman, 91, of Lancaster, entered into rest on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home. Born in Manor Township, he was the son of the late Frank and Mildred (Brubaker) Leaman.
Raymond farmed in Manor Township early in life and was later self-employed in farm equipment sales. He was a life-long member of Millersville Mennonite Church. Raymond had a keen interest in local farming history and loved to share stories of his recollections. He was very proud of his children and their families and enjoyed times when they gathered together.
Raymond is survived by 6 children: J. Edward (Leah) Leaman, David C. (Jacqueline) Leaman, Dorothy E. (Ted) Frey, Joanne M. (Timothy) Reist, Frank M. (Cynthia) Leaman, and Thelma J. (Dale) Burkholder; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Norman B. Leaman and Martha J. Rousseau. He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Andrea L. Burkholder and brothers: Harold (infant), Mervin B. and Clinton B. Leaman.
The family would like to thank the staff and patrons at Bridgeport Family Restaurant and Pasquales Italian Restaurant for the kindness, care and friendship that was shown to their dad over the years.
A Memorial Service will take place at Millersville Mennonite Church, 437 Manor Ave., Millersville, PA on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 5 PM. The family will greet friends at the church from 4-5 PM. Traditional interment will be private in adjoining cemetery prior to the service.

Lehman, Betsy Hirschler, Dr.
December 3, 1933 - January 31, 2025
Dr. Betsy Lehman, 91, passed away on January 31, 2025, at Greencroft Healthcare. Betsy was born on Dec 3, 1933, in Beatrice, Nebraska to Henry and Helen (Wiebe) Hirschler. On June 1,1957, she married the love of her life, Jim Lehman, in Beatrice, Nebraska. Together, they graduated from Bethel College in Newton, Kansas, where she received her nursing degree, and then Indiana University, where she received her master’s degree in nursing. She later earned her PhD in nursing education from Columbia University.
Betsy devoted her life to teaching future generations of nurses. She was a professor of nursing at Pace University in New York for many years. During her time at Pace, she planned and led trips for students and professional nurses to India, Nepal, Egypt, Israel, South Korea, and Taiwan. She also presented professional papers at international nursing conferences in Taiwan and South Korea.
Along with her husband, Betsy lived in India for 25 years. She was a consultant to The Christian Medical Association of India where she, along with several Indian colleagues, developed nursing curriculum for schools of nursing, authored several textbooks, and conducted workshops throughout the country. A new building at the Sister Florence College of Nursing, an affiliate of Kolkota University, was named after Betsy as recognition for her contributions to nursing education in India.
Betsy’s Christian faith and her family were of upmost importance to her. She was an avid world traveler, almost always thinking about and planning her next trip. Most of her travels were professionally related, but she also loved to explore new places and meet new friends from all over the world. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loved planning family gatherings at our lake house in Indiana.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son, J. Karl Lehman, granddaughter Anna Barnard, and brother Dan Hirschler. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Jim Lehman, along with their children: J. Stanley Lehman (Leslie Wade, Atlanta GA), Deanne Lehman (Benjamin Barnard, England), Carole (David) Nasralla (Pagosa Springs CO), Jeffrey (Alison) Lehman (England), Priya (Carey) McDurmon (Clermont GA); 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Richard (Jean) Hirschler (Goshen IN), John (Esther) Hirschler (Beatrice NE); and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Betsy will be held on Saturday, April 12, 4:00 pm, at Assembly Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the J. Lehman, Jane Marie
November 10, 1932 - March 26, 2025
Jane Marie Lehman, age 92, of Goshen, IN and Castorland, New York, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen, IN.
Born on November 10, 1932, Jane dedicated many years to her profession as an elementary education teacher specializing in educating kindergarten children. Jane adored her students and her beloved teddy bears. She was a 1954 graduate of Goshen College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Upon receiving her degree, she taught for one year in West Leyden, New York then returned to, the school she attended as a child, and taught the rest her career or 38 years at The Lowville Academy Central School before retiring and moving to Goshen in 1994. Jane was very active at New Bremen 1st Mennonite Church in New York and Waterford Mennonite Church in Goshen. She was known to be an “excellent” teacher and when the students she taught grew up, and had children of their own, they would request that their child be placed in her class. She treasured being creative in her classroom and would often bring in eggs so the children could watch them hatch into chicks. She was also acknowledged for her “perfectly elegant” handwriting and known for having developed the Jane M. Lehman Scholarship for Elementary Education at Goshen College. She also loved to travel with her family. Her favorite trips were with family to Europe, China, India, Alaska and Hawaii. She also attended the World Mennonite Conference in Calcutta, India with family members. After the conference the family then toured together to other parts of India with Jim.
Jane is lovingly remembered by sisters and brothers Bernice Hostetler of North Newton, Kansas, Lyle Lehman of Rochester, New York, Dolores Wedel of North Newton, Kansas, Jim Lehman of Goshen, IN, Gary (Alice) Lehman of Goshen, IN. Her life was also enriched by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews. Every year she would send her nieces and nephews hand written birthday cards.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Samuel H. and Clara (Kennel) Lehman; sisters and brothers: Ilene (Jack) Adams; Ralph (Evelyn) Lehman, Ken (Lucy) Lehman, Walt (Donna Jean) Lehman, Curt (Janice) Lehman, Claramae (Charlie) Klink, and Clark Lehman, sisters-in-law Margaret and Betsy Lehman, and brothers-in-law Dewey Hostetler and Arnold Wedel.
Her memory will forever hold a place in the hearts of her students, her friends and especially her loving family.
A memorial service will be held in New York at a later date.

Lehman, Twila Marie Conrad
October 9, 1934 - February 16, 2025
Twila Marie (Conrad) Lehman, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, with her family at her side at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
Twila was born at her home near Smithville, Ohio on October, 9, 1934, to Orie and Goldie (Byler) Conrad. Twila had a gracious, loving, and kind spirit as she sought to follow Jesus throughout her life. She enjoyed singing in the Messiah at Oak Grove Mennonite Church where she and her family attended. She married Chester Lehman on September 15, 1956, at Oak Grove Mennonite Church in Smithville, Ohio.
Twila graduated from Smithville High School in 1952, and then attended Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, where she received a secretarial certificate. Following college, she was employed for three years at The Wayne County National Bank in Wooster as a bookkeeper. After marrying Chester, she focused on raising their four daughters. In 1969, she began working as a bookkeeper at Beaver Wholesale Meats, Inc. in Smithville and retired from Beavers in 1998.
In their retirement years, Twila and Chester enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Canada, and Europe with the "Orrville Fun Group." They enjoyed spending winters in Florida and hosted many friends and family in their Sarasota home. Twila's other hobbies included playing cards, camping, putting puzzles together, and spending time with her grandchildren. Twila volunteered at Dunlap Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and helped prepare many meals at Grace Brethren Church where she and Chester attended.
Twila is survived by daughters, Renee (Ted) Flickinger of Gainesville, Georgia, Marcia (Kevin) Trent of Orrville, Ohio, Paula (Doug) Luginbill of Bluffton, Ohio and Tina (Randy) Kauffman of Hilliard, Ohio; beloved grandchildren, Allison (Scott) Troyer, Jonathan Luginbill (Kara Marang), Rebekah Kauffman, Carissa (Wendell) Baer, Avery (Sarah) Trent, Drew (Hallie) Kauffman; great grandchildren, Ellie Jo, Felicity, Rosalee, and Fen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Twila was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; sisters, Mercie Miller Linder Lehman, Marvel Jean Schrock, Eileen Gingerich; and brother, Lester Conrad.
The family would like to thank the staff of West View Healthy Living for their personal and loving care of Twila as well as their support for the family throughout her years as a resident. While only at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare for a day, the family is grateful for their compassionate care.
